Information for singers

Auditions for solo roles will take place in Late February.

• Dido soprano
• Belinda soprano
• Aeneas baritone
• The sorceress mezzo soprano

The following roles will be taken by members of the chorus:

• Second woman soprano
• Two witches sopranos
• A spirit mezzo-soprano
• Sailor tenor

The chorus will be made up of experienced consort singers who will, in addition to singing Purcell's beautiful choruses for Dido and Aeneas, have the opportunity to perform verse anthems by Restoration composers. This will provide opportunities for solo and consort work in smaller groups. The masterclass will be open to all singers who wish to take part.

There will also be daily warm ups and vocal surgeries
